Monday, November 27, 2023 - Medium garnet color. Pronounced aromas of toast, stewed plum, red cherry, cedar, cassis, raisin, blueberry, dark chocolate, mint, sage, mushroom. Full body, high acid, high alcohol, dry, medium(+) tannins, medium(+), bitter finish. The aromatics is somewhat oaky but enticing while it isn’t as complex and abv sticks out a bit on the palate with not so long, bitter finish. Would gain more complexity but I suspect it might not worth the wait due to high abv and lack of fruits. Also this wine was quite disappointing upon opening so it’s recommended to decant for 30 minutes. Drink now.
