  • A very out-of-character Amarone. Very light, I tasted this blind and wouldn't have guessed it to be Amarone in a million years.

    (WSET4 tasting note)

    Appearance: Clear, medium amber.
Nose: Clean, medium intense. Meat, coffee, blackberry, plumb, ripe cherry.
Palate: Dry, medium acidity, medium- soft tannins, medium alcohol, medium- body, medium+ finish. Medium intensity. +liquorice and tomato leaf.

This is a good quality wine; it balances primary fruits and acidity with some early tertiary aromas. For this to be of very good quality the wine would need much more complexity and length.

This wine is suitable for bottle ageing; the combination of prrimary fruit and acidity may just take it somewhere.

  • Clear garnet kleur
Medium aroma, zoethout, gedroogd fruit, vlezig
Hoog in tannine en zuren wat overschaduwd door zoete aspecten, hoog alcohol, lange afdronk

  • Medium garnet color. Pronounced aromas of toast, stewed plum, red cherry, cedar, cassis, raisin, blueberry, dark chocolate, mint, sage, mushroom. Full body, high acid, high alcohol, dry, medium(+) tannins, medium(+), bitter finish. The aromatics is somewhat oaky but enticing while it isn’t as complex and abv sticks out a bit on the palate with not so long, bitter finish. Would gain more complexity but I suspect it might not worth the wait due to high abv and lack of fruits. Also this wine was quite disappointing upon opening so it’s recommended to decant for 30 minutes. Drink now.

  • Pours deep, clear garnet with some bricking. Coffee, chocolate, cigar box, tart cherry, light raisin, and smoke on the nose. Palate brings in some brown sugar with balancing acidity and lip-smacking tannins on a long finish. I like this now, but tannins will probably smooth out over the next few years if that's your fancy.
