Wednesday, November 13, 2019 - Grand Cru Wines at The Kenwood (The Kenwood, Mpls, MN): Very dark red/purple color. 30 minutes splash double decant; drank a glass over 90 minutes. The nose shows outstanding purity to the dominant grahite aromas, very pretty with the black fruit sliding in and slowly coming more to the front, a touch of funk with the leathery earth. The palate is also stellar, enticing tannins, cassis, dark berries, tobacco, graphite, savory and full bodied. This is integrating well now, and shows the structure to easily make this a 50+ year wine. Outstanding. 94(+?)pts.
