Saturday, February 21, 2015 - Deep ruby. Mixed spice and dark cherry on the nose. Quite rich and full. Attack shows the same cherry fruit alongside slightly redder and tarter fruit notes. After two or three hours this has relaxed and rounded to show a very smooth and complex wine. The fruit profile and perhaps a touch of oak spice might point one away from Burgundy, but this is a restrained and classically-styled new world Pinot firmly in the Burgundian mould. Still on the up and obviously no hurry. ****
