Sunday, September 4, 2016 - Decanted for an entire day. Somewhat jammy, this is a rich fruity mouthful that I agree still could use more time. It showed very little evolution, very dark purple, no bricking. Assertively new world, it's more than a few degrees beyond the wines we prefer, like Bond or Bryant. I expect we will like it a lot more in another three years or so. I'm not in sync with other recent CT reviews, and I've tried to consider this in the memory of other recent top level Napa wines, and I will keep buying the HSS. The fruit is excellent, but I would like a bit less oak, less jam, more purity.
