Saturday, March 9, 2024 - Over 2 nights in Chicago (coravin first night), this bottle a gift from a friend. Several years since I have had a vineyard 29/cru.

Dark, inky red/purple color. Nose of dark/blue fruit, vanilla. Palate of dark/tart cherry, blackberry, blue fruits, cassis, black pepper. Rich and viscous through the finish. Full body and long (30 second+) finish.

A big and brooding wine, well made and moving into a good place now. Should drink at this level for a while. Wine improved over the course of the evening, would benefit from some decant. At sub $80 this wine is consistently good value
