Sunday, September 15, 2019 - The 2004 Bernard Moreau Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie is drinking nicely today and showing the classic old style of Bernard Moreau – leesy and textured without any reduction. Unlike their recent vintages that are leesy with struckmatch reduction this 2004 offers a maturing nose of glossed tree fruits, lemon extract and mild honied wood. Lovely racy acidity of 2004 balancing the texture well. Lively and expressive. (86/100)
