Friday, April 12, 2024 - Wow! Not the wine, but the wide variation in comments and community scores. People either love this wine or trash it. This was my first (and only) bottle and finally opened it after wondering about all the hype. Full bodied, inky, firm tannins with dark fruits, pepper, and vanilla. There is no complexity - one dimensional with lots of fruit. I considered giving this the "dreaded 89" score, but hesitated in consideration of the many fans of this wine, some of whom are my friends. There are much better Zinfandels for the price. Wine value $20 + $25 in marketing costs!
