Sunday, May 27, 2012 - I expected more from this as DeLille is such a solid producer. Good, but not great. The wine is big and fleshy, with lots of fruit though the tannins seem slightly disjointed and there isn't enough acid to keep it awake. The nose has notes of chocolate, mocha, game and blackberry, while the palate is a touch spicier and has more black fruits to it. Mint? Not bad, but I don't think it's worth the money (coming from an admitted WA Syrah lover.)
