Friday, October 17, 2008 - 12.5% alcohol. This is such a great picture of bone-dry Riesling. Crisp and slate-like on the nose, with plenty of minerals, citrus, and some stony peach. In the mouth, brace yourself -- it's so stony and marvelously refreshing. Deeply concentrated fruit that unfolds citrus and peach in a way that's different from Sauvignon Blanc. This is crisper, more angular but in a good way. Superb acidity. Wonderfully tart and refreshing finish. You could drink this by the gallon, even in extreme heat. A-
