92 Points

Thursday, March 24, 2022 - Opened today. Hard to believe that the 2005's are edging on 20 years old. For the most part, most of them are quite youthful. This one is starting to develop some secondary characteristics. Roasted red fruit but bacon fat, grilled meats, au jus, and mushrooms are also very present. Finishes with hot red fruits and herbal, savory character. Red pepper. Very rounded mouthfeel and balanced. Quite enjoyable. And this will continue to hold and develop. Very structured wine. I love these wines by Chapoutier that are a little off the beaten path. Well done!
