Sunday, June 14, 2009 - Intense dark red, not turning color yet. Beautiful expression of cab on the nose, cedar, dark berry, cassis, cigar box, northern cherry. Velvety mouthfeel, feels as silky as an old French PN or an aged brunello. Cedar in early palate, then fruit and acidity building in harmony. Quite a bit of tannin and pencil shavings on the finish but in good balance with red fruit. Long lingering finish. Excellent right now, may layer up some more with further aging.
