Earth, underbrush, barnyard, beautiful nose. Fresh red fruit, pencil lead, asparagus, capsicums, although rather oaky. fresh and elegant. Soft tannins. Drinking very well now.

Nose: This is a big boy. Powerful nose of blackcurrant, dark and milk chocolates, italian herbs and hints of cream cheese (?)
Taste: On the palate, this is big and bold. Almost a fruit bomb but the power and purity of the fruit is incredible and delicious. This had just been opened and will only get better with more air. Very rich but balanced with a very integrated tannin structure. Surprised me with a touch of spice at the finish.
Overall, this can be drunk now and for another 5-8 years, but will need some air for the flavours to develop. As I was tasting this, I just knew that it had to breathe more for the layers of flavours to unravel. This is a wine for those who love the rich full bodied wines but want some sensibility and balance to them. Very very good wine.

Loved this wine: it definitely showed its origins. Nose was screaming Tuscany, very earthy and funky, leather, smoke, bell pepper, tar and black currant. Med body, supple tannins amd medium acidity, it is balanced with a slightly grainy texture. Palate matched the nose while being a little less complex. Overall this is drinking very well, it only lacks focus and structure to be a great wine. Nevertheless a very enjoyable Tuscan cab, very Bordeaux style but true to its terroir.

Intense dark red, not turning color yet. Beautiful expression of cab on the nose, cedar, dark berry, cassis, cigar box, northern cherry. Velvety mouthfeel, feels as silky as an old French PN or an aged brunello. Cedar in early palate, then fruit and acidity building in harmony. Quite a bit of tannin and pencil shavings on the finish but in good balance with red fruit. Long lingering finish. Excellent right now, may layer up some more with further aging.

A big powerful red that seems to be reaching its peak. Nice balanced fruit and acidity with a very long, silky finish.
