Friday, November 18, 2022 - Opened and decanted an hour ahead of sausages and root vegetables. Inky black-violet with a bright violet hue. The nose didn't open up until three hours in and brought petrol, spring violets, musty earth, and purple lavender. The palate is medium, square, compact, and juicy, bringing a nice black fruit core with hints of red raspberries, beef chili, wild herbs, and crushed granite. The finish is tannic and needs more time to resolve, so drink 2024-2030. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 90.
