Tuesday, October 20, 2015 - Monthly Tuesday group #002: Châteauneuf du Pape (By MN): Mature bouquet with some red fruits, garrigue, mushrooms, autumn forest, rust and a touch of barnyard. On the palate still some red fruits and a lot of herbs and spices, autumn impressions and good acidity. The tannin is melted and a bit drying. In the finish there is some unpleasant bitterness, but overall this is a very mature and still beautiful wine. Drink up.
