Friday, February 24, 2023 - Oxidative wines are among the most divisive in the wine community: eather you abhor them, either you love them. Count me as belonging to the latter category. I remember my first example of a few decennia ago, a vin jaune of a then iconic producer Marius Perron 1982: I was mad about it from the first sip. I have to confess that I was used to drink and like the very similar Fino Sherries. Stéphane Tissot is one of the best vignerons of the regio and although not cheap all of his wines are worth every eurocent. This wine is intensely nutty very tense and dry in the mouth, with an aftertaste of more than 30sec and an admirable equilibrium.
