Sunday, September 19, 2010 - After about two hours of air in between the bottle and glass this started to open up nicely. Fresh aromas of raspberry liqueur, puree of red fruits, strawberry seed, creme de casis and some cool blue fruits. There wasnt much going on for secondary aromatics, maybe a hint of road tar, tobacco and cedar box. Nice medium body and balance on the palate. definitely some sweet tannins, obvious toasted oak and more red fruits. Nice wine but a bit of astringency on the back end really takes away from this wine. Maybe it will come together a bit but time will tell.
