89 Points

NOSE: mint; tar; cherry; cherry licorice; moderately expressive.

BODY: dark garnet color of medium to medium-deep depth; some bricking at the edges; looks youthful for its age; medium to medium-full bodied.

TASTE: gently tannic; creosote; rubber tire; alcohol is a little bit noticeable; marigolds; mint; pretty straightforward and somewhat unfocused; little bit of aged character / leather; probably best to keep holding --- and that would be with an eye towards melting some tannin and hoping this leans-out a bit into something with more grace --- but it is accessible now; it strikes me as a coin flip as to whether further ageing helps, but it's not exactly setting the world on fire now, so why not take the chance?
