Saturday, July 26, 2014 - This is the first bottle of this wine and of this grape varietal we have had. The color is a light garnet. The nose is all fruit with cherry, red berries and a bit of vanilla. The flavor profile is like a cross between pinot noir and sangiovese. Bright cherry fruit, cola and a little "birch bark" tannin. Nice balance with plenty of acidity. Medium finish. Have not started dinner yet but this wine should go well with food.
