Thursday, October 6, 2022 - Aromas of cooked berries, black plum, kirsch, dark chocolate, a little figs, herbs and lavender. Full-bodied, great acidity for Chateauneuf, this has a gorgeous tart fresh fruit character underneath layers of candied, cooked and dried fruit, significant tannin is fine and will turn velvety in time. Long and coating finish. This has impeccable balance and great intensity, and should be worth following 10+, if not 20.

Day two finds this in very fine form: olives, brighter berries, fresher floral tones and deeper chocolate have taken form... I would love to see this on 15 years, as I'm sure it will have blossomed into something extraordinary.
