Saturday, January 21, 2023 - Light-medium weight for a Coonawarra Cab, 13.5% abv, evidence of its cool and wet vintage. Tart red currant and sour plum fruit with hints of vanilla, chocolate and mint.
A classic Bordeaux-style wine for the ages, especially if it gains a little weight in bottle, or will it be a bit too thin and lean as the fruit fades? Hard to tell at this stage. Definitely has potential to gain points depending on how it evolves.
