Monday, April 27, 2015 - Note written 3.5 hours after opening. Deep ruby color. Light sediment. Aromas of white mushroom and plum sauce. Stylish entry. This opens with with a whack of oak and vanilla with a ripe mid-palate core of dark forest fruit. A tendril of sulfur. Drying finish. Lightly tannic. Medium body. Well balanced. Enjoy or hold. With food or without. We had this with a cheese tray, including a fine aged Manchego and a Wisconsin cracked black pepper cheese with grilled bread basket. Paired well. 92
