Saturday, November 17, 2012 - Absolutely pristine bottle. Clear, medium ruby color to the rim. Lovely nose of bright red fruits just beginning to pick up some secondary characteristics of sous-bois and a hint of stewed tomato - pretty classic pinot. Nice red cherry and cassis with some minerality on the palate.Good acidity, too. However, lacking a bit in grip and intensity to garner a higher score. Decent length, but a bit light in the mid-palate for me and, ultimately, a bit simple. Would like more complexity in a Grand Cru and at this price point.
