Tuesday, October 21, 2014 - Drank with beef Bourgogne. Held up well against the very rich stew with enough tannin and backbone that it didn't get lost. This is a very earthy old school style wine. Some dark fruit more like prunes than bright berries. Definite funky notes with tobacco/ tar. This is not for everyone and will not be a crowd pleaser if into fruity wines - but I enjoyed it.
