Friday, September 9, 2011 - Decanted for 30 minutes before service. In the glass, very dark purplish-red. On the nose, a pleasant mixture of crushed blackberries and grenache liqueur. On the palate, more of the same, with surprisingly well-blended tannins and acidity. I was expecting more structure and firmness, but this has already come together relatively well. This still has a few years of improvement ahead of it, but it's certainly enjoyable now.
