Friday, May 20, 2011 - Judging by the shrinked cork this bottle clearly had some age on it.
Tart apple and green fruit nose with mushroomy chalk notes, butter, cookies and nuts.
Dry and medium bodied palate with mid-level acidity, mid-weight fruit and a very fine creamy wide moussé (so fine I was even surprised by it!). Slight liquorice, aniseed, herbs, cinnamon and big chalk character. Medium + finish.
A hugely enjoyable Brut. Sipped on Cindy's deck while enjoying the sunshine.
