No score from me because I am at the tail end of a cold that has definitely influenced my palate. And we were in the perfect setting at our Tuscan Villa so probably yellowtail would have been delightful (ok maybe not). But I did enjoy this champagne and I could actually smell and enjoy toasty notes and citrus and good acidity. It seems the scores here are skewed lower than I would expect. Lovely for drinking outside on a lazy afternoon and preferred to the Ayala which we also had open. 2021 disgorgement

I've had this bottle for quite some time and it amazed me how good it actually got over the years. All that a "standard" champagne has to offer with a little twist of lime at the end.

Good but not great. This champagne has delivered as expected most of the times I've had the pleasure of drinking it and does so tonight as well. Not the best NV fizz out there but good enough.

Medium straw with steady and uniform bubbling. Biscuity nose with citrus fruit, green apple and hints of limestone minerality. Medium-bodied with nice fruityness and balancing acidity. Med-long aftertaste.

Very basic. Buy if you want something sparkling that is okey, not if you are looking for anything more advanced. Has neither the citrus charm of Roederer or Pol Roger, nor the more complex palate of Bollinger. Gaines depth, but not charm, with 1-3 years storing.

Judging by the shrinked cork this bottle clearly had some age on it. Tart apple and green fruit nose with mushroomy chalk notes, butter, cookies and nuts. Dry and medium bodied palate with mid-level acidity, mid-weight fruit and a very fine creamy wide moussé (so fine I was even surprised by it!). Slight liquorice, aniseed, herbs, cinnamon and big chalk character. Medium + finish. A hugely enjoyable Brut. Sipped on Cindy's deck while enjoying the sunshine.

Silvery-gold. Warm, lemon-apricot scent. Mouthfilling mousse, medium-smooth. A delicious flavour, tart and fruity, youthful and bright. This is perfectly acceptable NV, and would please many - I suspect this is a young batch, as it is very much in the 'French taste' - although I'd like to see what a couple of years' bottle-age would do. A great alternative to the Grandes Marques. [£24, from an independent merchant in the City of London]

Opened and tasted with ice cram, after dinner.
Good yeasty bread notes. A bit simple but with sufficient acidity and citrus to keep it lively.

Very different this time. Weak mousse, however quite attractive nose and palate, with a lot of bread.
From a small bottle.
