Friday, November 17, 2023 - A very pleasant young Barolo that shows promise for further development. Didn't seem to need a decant, so popped and poured. 60 F. Lovely nose of rose, raspberry and cherry. Pleasant lively acidity, no noticeable heat or oak, tannins gradually developed a velvety texture with a bit of grip. Big cherry fruit on the palate, notes of tar, leather and an earthy minerality. Nice, lingering finish. Will try to hold off for a few years before I open my next bottle.
