2019 Aubert Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard

Saturday, December 30, 2023 - Two hour double decant. Very very deep, intense magenta color. Cranberry, raspberry, powdered sugar, poppyseed, Ribena, and subtle chocolate malt. Dry, creamy palate. Full, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish.

This is getting too confectionery and fruit forward for a Pinot (for my palate), which is saying something. It’s youthful and I expect some evolution into something more balanced. Had with Decanting Queen and our spouses at a fun, new tapas place (Elia in Bryan, TX).
