Saturday, January 23, 2021 - From a 750ml barrel sample that was shipped to the US from Jadot. Powerful aromatics. Darker, ripe fruited, but not overripe or heavy in any way. Crushed berries, plum skins, cherry, and a lot of fresh cut flowers, both purple and red. A bit of soil and crushed rock too. Super expansive palate filled with fresh fruit, flower petals, subtle spice, and a mineral backbone. Lots of freshness here. One of the best young Clos de la Barre I can remember.
