very nice / elegant again, red fruited, nice acidity, hmmm... volnay typicity... don't hesitate to drink these now, may shut down at some point but this is really nice / friendly now

test bottle, I like MatthewF's note... this seemed to have many great characteristics of a full-minus bodied red burg... could see the Volnay but also a touch (maybe due to youth) of Corton in this... rebuy for sure given price ($80'ish)... going to Wine-Searcher now... possible rating of 92-93 but too early to truly rate

From a 750ml barrel sample that was shipped to the US from Jadot. Powerful aromatics. Darker, ripe fruited, but not overripe or heavy in any way. Crushed berries, plum skins, cherry, and a lot of fresh cut flowers, both purple and red. A bit of soil and crushed rock too. Super expansive palate filled with fresh fruit, flower petals, subtle spice, and a mineral backbone. Lots of freshness here. One of the best young Clos de la Barre I can remember.
