Sunday, August 13, 2023 - Lovely chardonnay had with a fantastic meal at the Restaurant at Pearl Morissette. The wine held itself with the seafood forward courses and the duck, was a bit overpowered by the goat and cheese course.
On the nose: sweet lemon, white flowers, and a hint of apricot and spice.
On the palate: the wine was in complete balance between acidity and texture. Orchard fruit notes gave it richness with a touch of minerality on the finish. As the wine warmed up over three hours notes of baking spices came through.
