primarily from 1 ha of the 1er cru Monts-Luisants with lean, clayey soil
with limestone scree on a base of fine limestone and vines planted
11,000/ha sustainably cultivated yielding 32 hl/ha.
Manual harvest with sorting on the vines. De-stemmed.
Fermented with indigenous yeast in temperature regulated
wooden vats,
Aged 18-20 months in French oak barrels. No new wood, average age
of barrels being 20 yrs.
13.5% Abv. 4,173 bottles
History: Started with William Ponsot from St. Romain in 1872.
Siblings Laurent and Rose-Marie Ponsot began managing in 1981.
Laurent stepped down in 2017 and Rose-Marie became sole Director.

A(ccuray)=2: Med cherry/ruby. Fresh brambly varietal.
B(alance)=3: Delicate fruit with refined structure.
C(omplexity)=2: Red and dark berries, violets, spices, mineral.
D(epth)=1: Lifted mouthfeel. Good length and finish.
