Monday, February 26, 2024 - Did not need to decant and was ready in 10-min after some funk blew off. Pale purple color with a violet-crimson hue. Funky nose brings forest floor, cinnamon-nutmeg, clove cigarettes, intense potpourri, grape hard candy, and blueberry pie. The palate is medium, round, and crunchy, brining a nice core of blueberries, rhubarb, and ripe plums mixed with Manhattan bitters, ripe Bing cherries, orange rind, and scattered strawberry notes flowing into an extended, rustic finish. This is exceptional for the price and incredibly quaffable. Drink 2024-2028. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 94.
