Did not need to decant and was ready in 10-min after some funk blew off. Pale purple color with a violet-crimson hue. Funky nose brings forest floor, cinnamon-nutmeg, clove cigarettes, intense potpourri, grape hard candy, and blueberry pie. The palate is medium, round, and crunchy, brining a nice core of blueberries, rhubarb, and ripe plums mixed with Manhattan bitters, ripe Bing cherries, orange rind, and scattered strawberry notes flowing into an extended, rustic finish. This is exceptional for the price and incredibly quaffable. Drink 2024-2028. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 94.

murky ruby colored. the nose is nice, like a dark fruited tropical cocktail with autumn spice. but this is all about the palate. foillard is just on a different plane. it’s delightful. medium bodied with a bright citric acid. tart sweet cranberries and raspberries with cream and a low toned savory note like worcestershire sauce. finishes long with fine dry orange rind tannins. truly unique balance, mouthfeel, and flavor profile. another stunner.

Wow - the first sniff and sip made clear this was going to be great. Incredible delineation on the nose, with its piquant red fruit, hint of funk and sensual, dusky floral undertone. Almost too crisp in the mouth, pure cranberry fruit dominating the attack and midpalate, some underlying earthiness, palpable energy and an extremely long finish. Really exciting.

Barnyard at pnp. This needs 3h in a decanter at the moment. Then really good, fragrant morgon, with dusty iron, cranberry, not to tart, mananges a warm vintage very well. Opened to early
