Sunday, January 7, 2024 - Very dark, almost inky, for a RR and the nose suggested what was to come which was something of a brooding monster with only hints of smoky barbecue and distant sweetness of vanilla oak. On the palate, the presence of over-extraction was pronounced, this is very much a food wine and for us not your average RR. Still intriguing and could well mellow nicely in time. Drunk at Mirlo in La Caleta, Tenerife.
