Thursday, October 26, 2023 - Un Repas en Cuisine - GD host (City Club FW - Chef's Table): Tasted single blind - Light gold in the glass; nose of lemon + oak, so I immediately thought chardonnay. When tasting, I was sure it wasn't sauvignon blanc, but still not sure if it was chardonnay. Others noted a reductive quality (I don't know how to taste for that). I called a white burgundy, but couldn't get any more specific than that. I was excited to learn what it was, after just reading Neal Martin's article on Chateau Palmer a few weeks ago. Really fun to taste, and very nice wine.
