Un Repas en Cuisine - GD host (City Club FW - Chef's Table): Tasted single blind - Light gold in the glass; nose of lemon + oak, so I immediately thought chardonnay. When tasting, I was sure it wasn't sauvignon blanc, but still not sure if it was chardonnay. Others noted a reductive quality (I don't know how to taste for that). I called a white burgundy, but couldn't get any more specific than that. I was excited to learn what it was, after just reading Neal Martin's article on Chateau Palmer a few weeks ago. Really fun to taste, and very nice wine.

This is a an interesting white Bordeaux with a unique mix of grape varieties. Lovely flavors of lemons and minerals with an elegant, silky texture and a fine, salty finish. I think more age would help as it seems to be holding something back. Quite good but hardly worth the price tag. 90+

Rich and fleshy with good depth and balance. Very accessible now, with sneaky length and power. I have never seen this wine in any vintage. I don't know the cepage, but it did not seem at all like Sauvignon Blanc.

Tasted blind. What can I say, Liber Pater, Screaming Eagle Sauvignon Blanc, Palmer Vin Blanc, etc. There are always novices with money who buy the gold Rolex with the shiny Gucci shoes because they think it's in fashion. This nice white wine, fresh, with lemon and grassy notes, medium- complexity is such an example (40% Muscadelle, 34% Sauvignon Gris, 26% Loset). A decent 30$ wine, but 300$... the emperor has no clothes.
Chateau Palmer Masterclass (The Wine Emporium, Wine Education Centre): Palmer Masterclass, The Wine Emporium, Brisbane. This wine is a lovely curiosity being a blend of Muscadelle, Sauvignon Gris and Loset and showing an exotic nose of lime, lemon and gooseberry with a zesty palate showing a good line and brisk finish that suggests something mid-way between a Graves and a Muscadet sur lie. Delicious on the night but ultimately an expensive Wine Options trick !

Château Palmer Wine Dinner (at Vineum, Rotterdam): Made of 40% muscadelle, 26% Loset and 34% Sauvignon gris. Exotic fruit aromas. The palet is creamy and full bodied with ripe citrus and glossy grapefruit. Nice but not very exciting!

@ VINEUM. No rating given, because I can not judge the wine honestly knowing it's price tag...And that what makes the wine pretty underwhelming, while it is an interesting wine. In this vintage made of 40% Muscadelle, 34% Sauvignon Gris and 26% Loset

I had slightly older versions of this that I liked more. found it a bit new-world style with strong pineapple hints. perhaps in need of more time.
