I am a fan of Ardanza, and I trust this will integrate with time, but it has not integrated yet, and that American oak is clearly imparting a dill pickle flavor to it. I would love for them to use French oak, but that ain’t the way in Spain. Despite that issue, it remains a fairly enjoyable wine, 90+ with room for upside. The wife seemed to enjoy it, also a positive.
