Wednesday, February 20, 2008 - On open, the wine exhibited a somewhat disjointed nose and rather harsh tannins which did not settle after an hour. On the next day, a muted nose offered sour cherry, stewed stone fruit (compote), and hints of leather. Tannins subsided, leaving a luscious and elegant wine, but with very little finish. Requires more time due to tannin levels, but unfortunately I don't predict the wine ever matching my expectations from when I bought the half case.
