Sunday, July 13, 2014 - Getting Wine Geeky for the World Cup Final (Domaine Wine Storage, Chicago IL): Nose: This took an hour or so to get going, but when it opened up, it was gorgeous and flowing with leather, black pepper, black cherries, spice tones, tobacco, and some black fruits. There was excellent depth with a real layering to the tones.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium acidity. The feel is layered and elegant with black pepper, leather, black cherries, tobacco, and some black fruits. There are still some supporting tannins that provide a nice backbone.

Overall: This needed about an hour to 90 minutes to finally rev up. It's been 5 years since the last bottle and this one was more like my first bottle(which was really good) thankfully.
