Overall, I was really pleased with this pick for a budget-friendly wine. I recommend decanting because right out of the bottle, there was a piercing minty aroma that overshadowed all else. After an hour in the decanter dark fruit, like macerated plums and black raspberry came out, also espresso, and on the palate, rare red meat. It was even better on the second night…the mintiness had transformed into a less high-pitched thyme-y note. The wine was juicy with well-managed tannins. Nicely complex with a moderate length finish.
