This has been sitting in my rack for a couple of years. After trying the 2018 and not being so thrilled with it, I thought I better open this to compare.
The 2015 was a different animal altogether. Where the 2018 felt tired already, with raisin-y flavors on the finish, the 2015 was fresh with a nice grip. Aromatically, it was certainly old world with a mix of red fruits, but also cassis and plum with a good dose of leather and forest undergrowth. On the palate there was a lovely herbal quality; very mint-like and with a bit of espresso. The finish was rather short, but altogether a nice wine, especially for the price ~$25 (but this was a gift from friends)
I wasn’t home for dinner for a few nights, so I sealed this with a Vacuvin and refrigerated it. Even so, on the 21st the wine had that unpleasant mushroomy oxidized flavor, so I would drink soon-ish rather than holding for much longer.

NV Da Mar Prosecco

Yeasty, apples and lemons. Racy acidity, a little sweet. Easy going.
Cleaning out the cellar of things that have been hanging out maybe longer than they should, but this was still fresh and yummy

Big, jammy, oaky, and slightly sweet. Short finish.
