Friday, March 11, 2022 - Very fruit forward. Raspberries on the nose. Raspberries and blueberries on the tongue with a hint of spice, but less than usual for a Syrah. Hint of leather and walnuts. Mild tannins. Medium finish.

The color is surprisingly young with almost no brownish tones. And the cork itself came out looking as if it were brand new. We wonder if covering the entire top and cork with wax prevented the gentle aging we are used to with wines. Although the tannins are pretty gentle, we believe that this wine could gain in complexity with a bit more aging.
