P-n-p. Range 88-89. To the nose, dark fruit clarifies to blackberry and plum as it opens up, with an initial sniff of oak/leather. On the palate, checks the western syrah boxes for fruit and spices with very slight meat. Tannins in shoelaces and providing minimal structure. Medium mouthfeel and med-short length. Excellent cause per label for making a California syrah in Oregon - would support again per QPR. Drink now.

Very fruit forward. Raspberries on the nose. Raspberries and blueberries on the tongue with a hint of spice, but less than usual for a Syrah. Hint of leather and walnuts. Mild tannins. Medium finish.
The color is surprisingly young with almost no brownish tones. And the cork itself came out looking as if it were brand new. We wonder if covering the entire top and cork with wax prevented the gentle aging we are used to with wines. Although the tannins are pretty gentle, we believe that this wine could gain in complexity with a bit more aging.

Outstanding Williamette Syrah from a very reputable Pinot Noir producer with a consistently strong track record—for Pinots! It was hard to find much of anything online about their Syrahs, but this one has dark fruit, is well-rounded, balanced, rich…absolutely delicious! Williamette Syrah purchased via LB.

It's evolved since we drank a bottle 18 months ago. Still blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry, but less pronounced and the leather has dropped out.
