Thursday, October 27, 2022 - Consistency is evident with this particular bottling, and ‘19 truly shimmers and glows. There’s tension, elegance and true sexiness. Cherry cola, wet earth, sassafras, crumbling rock and licorice. Feminine, but with some muscle and a well-framed, medium palate. The finish sails on and on. Even better than the gorgeous’18. So enjoyable today, yet has what is required to age. A little more transparent, with all of this wonderful staying power and a balanced middle. Drink now - 2032.

I live in Sonoma County and am surrounded by many a Pinot from Russian River Valley. This is almost post-modern in its feminine ways, yet has the requisite nuance and staying-power. It reminds me of a hybrid of both Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley. Truly classic.
