Sunday, April 16, 2023 - 2019: dark, tightly wound red berry fruit. Same flavour profile as 2018 but has a deeper core. Needs time to open and soften, though not hard today.

2018: like drinking candy- red fruit and vanilla. So fleshy and delicious right now, it shows such sweetness in the fruit. There is just a little tannin in the finish.

2017: similar to 2018, but lacking the intensity and showing a little wood influence. Some licorice and a mineral feeling on the finish. If you are looking for a burly, dark Beaune the closest you will come is the 2019, but even with that wine there is immediate pleasure
