Thursday, December 7, 2023 - Classic Haut- Medoc.
On nose: dark florals, subtle mesquite charcoal, and a hint of eucalyptus.
On palate:all above flavour notes singing on a lightly tannic, fullish medium body, and after a 2 hour decant fine notes of red and black currant, a ghost of fresh sage and cigar tobacco.
A far different animal from the the light bodied Blaye commune La Gamaye 2020, tasted a couple of days ago.
A good consistent property, having reviewed the 2018 and 2019 earlier.....may close up for a few years....one for the long haul.
