Walkaround tasting so just short notes: Red and black berries, round and supple acidity and slightly sticky tannin. Probably entering its maturity stage around 2027. Easy going wine.

Classic Haut- Medoc. On nose: dark florals, subtle mesquite charcoal, and a hint of eucalyptus. On palate:all above flavour notes singing on a lightly tannic, fullish medium body, and after a 2 hour decant fine notes of red and black currant, a ghost of fresh sage and cigar tobacco. A far different animal from the the light bodied Blaye commune La Gamaye 2020, tasted a couple of days ago. A good consistent property, having reviewed the 2018 and 2019 earlier.....may close up for a few years....one for the long haul.

Flowers, cigar wrapper, mint, black, and red currants, and a hint of toasty oak create the perfume. On the palate, the wine is round, supple, fresh, and fruity with layers of sweet, ripe, clean, juicy currants with a touch of peppery spice in the finish. Drink it within a year or two of age, and enjoy it for at least 15 or more years after that Drink from 2024-2040.

A savory, leafy, taught wine. The dark fruits are properly buried. Perhaps even demure. Blackberry and laurel may be the closest hits right now.
Despite all these restrained and subtle characteristics, it's an enjoyable young drink.
All I'm seeing is upside for this great value BDX.

Nice dark fruit, iron, espresso, and touches of violet. Not too extracted so it’s a pleasant and drinkable young Bordeaux. Opens up with a bit of air.
