Wednesday, November 29, 2023 - Deep dark reddish-purple garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with earthy/dusty & floral overtones, spices, leather, cocoa/coffee, minerals, anise, herbs, smoke & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, plush, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & cassis with spices, cocoa, herbs, minerals & oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks well at present with decanting & extended airing but will develop further with additional aging at which time it may merit a higher score (93+).
